Effective 2026

Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Katie, the AI receptionist and lead-capture service operated by CallKatie. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Katie answers calls, collects caller details, creates summaries, and sends lead data to dashboards or integrations you configure. You are responsible for keeping your business information, assistant instructions, forwarding numbers, and integrations accurate.

2. Accounts and authority

You must have authority to use Katie for the business you register. You are responsible for account access, invited team members, and all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use Katie for emergency dispatch lines, unlawful activity, deceptive impersonation, outbound spam, harassment, or regulated advice without appropriate human oversight and licensing. We may suspend or terminate accounts that create legal, security, carrier, or platform risk.

4. Call recording and consent

You are responsible for complying with recording, privacy, marketing, and telecom laws that apply to your callers and locations. Where required, you must notify callers that calls may be handled, recorded, transcribed, or summarized by an AI service.

5. Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Trials, plan limits, subscription pricing, taxes, renewals, cancellations, and invoices are shown at checkout or in the billing portal. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Availability and third-party services

Katie depends on third-party services including voice, telephony, database, AI, email, SMS, hosting, and payment providers. We work to keep the service reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every call, message, summary, or integration delivery will succeed.

7. Customer data

You retain ownership of your business and lead data. You grant us permission to process it as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve Katie. Our privacy policy explains the categories of data processed and subprocessors used.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Katie is provided as-is and we are not liable for lost profits, lost leads, missed calls, downstream business outcomes, or indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice where practical. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

10. Contact
